I will be participating in a relay for life fundraiser on May 12th. I thought these boxes would be a good addition to my sales. They are fairly easy to make but they pack a design punch. I got the design from this great blog.
I added custom made earrings to each purse. Let's cross our fingers that they sell.

Scrappy Lily
Well I'm back!!
I have begun selling scrapbooking supplies with Close to My Heart. I am going to use this blog as part of my sales campaign. I'm very excited to start this venture, I want to use the profits to pay for a Christmas vacation. So let's get started.
This is my first card, i used the "Dotty For You" paper pack...

I also made a card for a baby shower using the "Roxie" paper pack. I had fun with this because the mom-to-be is young and hip.

I used layouts from the CTMH Reflections how-to book, I just reduced everything by half easy peasy.
Enjoy

Family Prenatal Visit and Thanksgiving
Wednesday was my monthly prenatal visit. Since Nick was off at noon and Ari has been so curious about her "baby brother" in my belly, we all went to the appointment. These first visits are fairly boring, I weigh in, pee in a cup, have my blood pressure checked then the doctor listens to the baby's heartbeat. The girls did hear the heartbeat and they were amazed. Now Ari puts her ear to my belly to listen to baby's heartbeat.
Our Thanksgiving was a low key nuclear family affair. Ari says she doesn't like feasting, Jojo was indifferent, and Mami & Papi pigged out. My new recipe this year was pumpkin cheesecake, Nick and Ari ate half the pie in a day. Jojo doesn't really have a sweet tooth and I was sick of seeing it. By the time I got around to trying some I was surprise by how much they ate.
Now on to Christmas and Ari's birthday, wish me luck.

I'm Back
Well, I originally started this blog when I found out I was pregnant as a way to log my thoughts and feelings. After the miscarriage I lost interest. Now that I'm pregnant AGAIN and now in my 18th week I think it's safe to start again.
Ari and Jojo are convinced we are having a boy. When I ask her what about a baby sister she says "I already have one". LOL

Last week while Ari was in Vacation Bible School I was chatting with some of the other parents, and I mentioned I was laid off. When he found out I was an Architect in less than an hour I had a paying job. WOW!!! Then this week I have another job from the same source. So is God telling me this is the way I should go. Huummmm.....

Trying to get back in the saddle
Hello Everyone. Since I got my daycare license I have been going non stop. I had to get the house ready for my open house. Which was a full time job by it's self. Then I had to get my website up and running www.lilyslittleones.com and work on my advertising. I'm still working on getting students but I'm praying and working on new ideas.

Daycare License
Hooray!!!!! I got my license, now here comes the scary part actually opening. I've come to a revelation that I'm going to open a preschool instead of a daycare. Pray for me.

Crop Night
So tonight I went to my local scrap booking store to CROP: (v) to scrapbook with a group of people. This is my 3rd time and I love it, the cost is only $5 and I get soooooo much done. Tonight I was able to finish the pages for Jojo's first birthday. Yes, she'll be turning 2 soon, I'm a little behind. That's why I love these crops they keep me on track. And my hubby watch the kids what a saint. OK I'm off to bed feeling accomplished.

Build-a-Bear
We live in a great city. The Altadena Library had a Build-a-Bear workshop for FREE!!!! It was great the girls got to pick their own animals and decorate the T-shirts. Mami is jazzed because Ari has been eyeing the Build-a-Bear machine at the zoo for months.
I'm just thinking that we live in a great country where so many of our wants are met, to say nothing of our basic needs. Since I've been unemployed I've made it my business to take advantage of our government services, parks, libraries, museums, etc.

Hair Day AGAIN
So i broke down and put individuals in Ari's hair again. It took almost 4 hours, in braid time that's 2 Dora Episodes, 1 Wubzy movie, and 5 Angelina Ballerina Episodes. Ari was a trooper and sat still most of the time. The good thing is I won't have to worry about her hair for at least 3 weeks. Now on to Jojo.

Natural History Museum
Today was free day at LA County Natural History Museum, so of course we took advantage. The girls had a great time. I've been contemplating buying a membership but I've decided against it I'm waaaay to cheap to pay $8 for parking every time I go down there. Maybe when the girls get older I'll reevaluate. For now we'll just go on free day.

Getting Better
So Ari made a "miraculous" recovery when Jojo and I were on our way to a birthday party. My party girl tried very hard to convince me she was well enough to go, didn't work. Jojo and I had fun at the party, although she kept asking for Ari. LOL
When we got back Ari was pretty much herself. Not sure what that little interlude was but hopefully it is truly gone.

Sick Baby
Ari came home from church yesterday and went straight to sleep. Which is totally out of character for her so we knew something was up. She's a little warm and won't eat. So I've had to comfort my baby girl, no time to blog. She is awake again, gotta go.

Busy day
Storytime at Altadena Library, good news from the city of Pasadena building depart, and South Pasadena farmers market. And I found out my piano is in good shape no need for an expensive tuning.
Well 3 late nights in a row is way too much for this 35 yr old to handle.
Good Night
